Announcing the Semifinalists
for 2013 Guandu International Outdoor Sculpture Festival
感謝各界協助與支持，2013關渡國際自然裝置藝術季投件結果非常踴躍，共計有54位國內外藝術家提案，每件提案作品都相當優秀且具原創性，對於今年主題「種子‧生命」做出了多樣又有創意的詮釋，也讓評選過程討論極為熱烈，使得只能從中挑選出5位藝術家更顯得難以抉擇。由於今年除了關渡自然公園外，另設有關渡醫院、關渡國中兩處展出場地，為尊重兩處場地對提案作品之需求與意見，我們決定先選出以下10位決選藝術家名單，再次進行評選討論，並將於近日內公布最終入選名單，若造成不便敬請見諒。
Since the Call for Proposals was announced, we've received 54 qualified applications from artists all over the world! It's really difficult to choose between so many exceptional proposals. After a first round of preliminary judging, the 2013 Guandu International Outdoor Sculpture Festival selection panel has decided to select the top scoring submissions in each of the 3 display locations to move on to the final judging phase. Today we are pleased to announce the list of ten semi-finalists, who were chosen based on their creativity and how their proposals meet the theme "seed & life". The 5 finalists will be announced here in a few days.
